Are ya feeling it?

28 Jul

James is very excited to visit with our friends Gregg and Ralph this weekend.  He is so excited that he decided we needed to pick up some gifts, but what to buy, what to buy?

J:  Mamma?
M:  Yes babe?
J:  placing hands on face and making a fishy face What do they like?
M:   Dunno, what do you think?
J:  Do they like Hot Wheels?
M:  Sure they do, but that sounds more like something that you would like more.
J:  Hmm, mmmm, this is really tough more fishy face this is really, really tough.
M:  It can be tough picking out gifts for your friends.
J:  Oh hey!  I know! jazz hands we can get them little gold stars, you know stickers, little gold ones peaking through pinched fingers to demonstrate exactly how small because we are all bestest friends.
M:  Well, I don’t know….
J:  Or….we could one thing for me and the same thing for them, wouldn’t that be fair?
M:  uh huh…..

I’ll spare you the brief lecture that followed.  Gregg and Ralph know that he really does love you and not just because you have dogs.

Well at least he thought of his friends! My kids always try to pull that off when we’re birthday shopping for a friend… “something for me AND something for ____”. Uh, no. Nice try.

James did this again when we were talking about what to buy his Daddy for his upcoming birthday. Jamse did suggest a Ferrari for Dad, which in a way would be for all of us.
