Snow Day

23 Feb

James’s daycare closed early today because of the winter “storm” warning.  So far not much of a storm has materialized but you never know around these parts. It could rain, then be sunny, then snow all in a 10 minute period.

We are prepared though, after we picked up James, we laid in supplies at Costco, we have plenty of Mac n’ Cheese, trail mix, cereal, and toilet paper to make it through the worst of weather.

On the way home Tim commented on the amount of snow on the mountains.  James, who has seemed exhausted all afternoon perked up and said, “that’s the North Pole.  Santa lives there.  Is it OK with you if Santa comes to visit?  Can we pwease write him a letter asking him to pwease come visit us pwease?”

I think James want something…again.

I’m so not telling my kids that you live so close to Santa or they’ll be bunking with you from now on. Hmm, maybe I will tell them.

Sure you can send ’em on over. They’d probably love being on a plane. Everyone else would probably love it too 😉
