Tuesday Randomness

16 Mar

Did you know that tigers can be found a plenty in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Issaquah?  Got a board kid, can’t think of what to do, go visit the Cougar Mountain Zoological Park.  You may not see a cougar, but you will see lots of tigers.

James love, LOVES, baked beans.  He just drank the bean juice out of the baked beans container, he loves them so much.   It didn’t take long for the “music” to start, and I’m not referring to American Idol.

I hate to admit it but, I actually like Ellen on American Idol.  I wasn’t too sure about all the changes this year.  I thought that Idol would be boring without Paula’s antics, but I don’t miss her one bit.  I didn’t think that the addition of Kara did anything for the show last year, and that Ellen joining the judges panel would only make things worse.  But this year, the whole thing kinda works for me, almost like Idol is more mature if that is humanly possible.

Our driveway is dark at night.  Dark as in fear ye all who enter here kinda dark.    We picked up some new, fancy, solar-powered lights for the driveway to make everything more cheerful.  The lights are cute little glass and metal pagodas with white LEDs.  Unfortunately, white LEDs aren’t really white, and they cast glow that can only be described as ghostly.  This is not helping dispel the creepiness.

Tim is sick or having the worst allergy attack ever.  Naturally James wants to wrestle.  They are playing a game that James has named “Ginger Bread Man Smash.”  I think someone is going to end up in tears.

I’m random, are you random?  If you are feeling random.  Head on over to Keely the Un Mom.

At one place that I lived as a child, the driveway was really creepy. Unfortunately, we had to walk the driveway (it would take about 15 minutes) in the dark, because when the time changed in
Georgia it wouldn’t start getting daylight until after 7 in the morning. We had to be on the bus well before then.

My momma would have the five of us kids walk in front of her in case something jumped out and tried to take one of us. Talk about putting the fear into your kids. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. We were probably the only kids excited about seeing the big yellow bus.

Luckily our driveway is pretty well lit. Which attracts the neighborhood cats. My poor husband has a butt print on the driver’s side of the windshield that he has to stare at every morning before he makes it to a gas station and squeegee’s it clean.
