Grandpa Pat purchased a model airplane and spent several weekend visits patiently gluing it together, with James restlessly sitting on his lap. A few weekends back, we managed to have a sunny day, without snow…perfect flying weather.
On the way to the sports field for our inaugrual flight. Grandpa Pat was sure, that the plane would last one flight, maybe two. James was giddy with excitement. He also had to rock Mom’s shades.
James’s flight crew, and pre-flight check.
The pilot is insisting on immediate departure!
Air traffic control- we have a problem!
Post-crash inspection- the plane survived two crashes into the trees, but not being held for roughly 10 seconds by a three-year-old. After multiple crash landings, James brushed the tail on Tim’s pants and the tail just crumpled. We flew it until the tail was practically, err was falling off. A little glue, and the plane will be ready for more flights when we have another weekend that is snow free.
